Fished Saturday morning with fellow CBT member Rich Gallagher.Left out
of Waterfront after stopping @ 95th st. and watching the East wind howl.
Started right across from ramp throwing spinnerbaits, tubes, jigs, and rubber
worms up into the shallows. After fishing for an hour w/o a bite we backed
of to some ledges dropping from 5 to 12 fow.Chucking deep divers ,and
carolina rigs w/o success we moved to some current areas.Pitching and
flipping tubes, worms, and jigs again to no avail.Headed towards Alsip ,and
stopped at a couple of discharge areas.I caught the only keeper(Illinois
Federation size 12in.)on a spinnerbait. It might have weighed over a pound
,but it was close.Caught a short on same bait 20 yards away.Moved to a
few other spots when the not so good trooling motor battery got so much
worse.Had the boat back on the trailer ,and was @ a friends daughters
babtism by noon.A great day on the River with a good friend.

Ouch man, seems like a tough day on the water. Sounds like you had a good time with you Guide though....

Tom,
I don't know if you can call following Jim Fett around a guide service.(just
kidding)Rich was not prepared to show me his area that landed him that
second place finish a couple of weeks ago.
Are you fishing the Federation Tourney?
Are you fishing at all with your back?

:D Great post Mike, sounds like a typical day on the RIVER RANGER.
Was Rich yelling at you all day like he does when im his partner  L.O.L.
Remember,a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
Talk to you later
