Got me limit of nice fat one but not huge . Slow bite but I have notice that the fish ducks are moving these fish around . Did really well on cut bait since dinks will drive u nuts . Bigger piece cut bait gives bigger one s time to get to the bait . Hope the big one comes in soon but water still a little warm I believe

Was there Sunday. Started at Noon and had a limit by 2. Got really lucky and set up shop in front of a school of larger fish.

Upsize and use artificials. Unless you can get some BIG minnows. Even then, the little ones will probably pick them apart. The dinks are voracious.

Pez68 was they again today started with minnows, i got 3 dozen all looked like under 2 from 74th and harlem so check if you go there. minnows ran out fast so tried artificials with no luck so went to cut bait and it's worked better than minnows. they can't steal it as fast. only got 8 8-9 inch perch. better than sitting home.

you are correct the dnr counts that as 1 on cut bait. I have been wait a little longer on bites instead of setting the hook. Seems the bigger one s get a chance and works better. if your using a double hook the small one will break u buying minnows. Get the biggest fatheads u can get if using minnows . Hell try one minnow and cut bait the other . My thoughts .

there is sign posted at 87th no trespassing and a gate there . Everyone has been parking in the parking spaces but I have noticed a black chevy suburban driving right up to the fence by the slip and parking there . Some people just don't get it . These are the people that screw it up for everyone .

Fri 2 grandsons and myself 28 solid 8 to 10s. Larger minnows and cut perch. Sat 16 between 2 of us and Sun by myself and got 12 with a 13 inch fatso. Sun went to larger spoon(blue and chrome) with cut perch on 2nd hook casting to the diving ducks and bottom bouncing it back. Kept the dinks off and worked real well. Spoon caught 9 of the 12. Less action but bigger fish. First time there and also enjoyed the people around me each time out. Glad to see everyone doing good. Really nice to be out this time of year in fantastic weather. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Yes if you don't one bite and it's gone.We just filet one side and cut it into minnow sized pieces, you want that nice green perch skin showing.

Save the belly meat when you fillet your perch. I use scissors to cut into thin 2" long strips tipped on a spoon 1/4 oz castmaster works good if winds not to bad bounce back off bottom move around to find bigger fish. Today and Mon. Took nice limit of 9+ to 12"
