Hi, my name is Joel I am new to the this site but not new to fishing. I love any kind of fresh water fishing including bass, crappie, walleye, perch, catfish, and I even enjoy a nasty carp on my line! Any kind of fishing is better than being at work.
I have a nice size pond in my yard. This past summer I did pretty well on that pond. Caught some nice size bass about 3-4 pounds. Also was catching hungry bullhead on small spinner baits. I feel lucky enough to be able to come home from work and walk out my back door and cast a line even if it's just for a half hour or so. Once in a while I will go up to the Fox River Damn in South Elgin which is less than a mile from my home. There's a lot of places I love to fish in IL. I love to share fishing spots with those who appreciate it and have respect for the sport, I am also not apposed to hearing other peoples spots ;) I hope to meet new friends on this site and share stories and get advise from good fisherman. Welcome, Joel!

Just moved back to Chi about 4 months ago and joined up on this site. I haven't posted much, yet, but will be next spring. Great info, great contributors on this site. I've got a pond in the back yard so I know what you mean. Look forward to hearing from you.
