Tough bite today for sure! Got out at dawn, Ultralight, splitshot and minnows. River was down, water was "bathwater" warm. One smallie to show for my efforts but what a scrappy fighter he was. :jump Cant waite for the fall bite.

What up T-bo. Since the boat isn't here in Windy I've been kicking around the idea of going back to my roots on the Fox. Wading might not be a good idea as my arthritic knee has been acting up these last couple weeks. Maybe just take a break and sit on a bank for a while. With that being said, I ain't caught a flathead in ages and might need to get out of the house for a couple hours to stretch a line. Were you in the North or South stretch? Is the North dam even around still?
Last time I was in south B, the east wing and middle island got blown out due some real high water. Man, it's been alot years since then.

Hey John,

Were you been hiding man? Being boatless myself I've found wading feeds the need quite nicely. Even if I dont catch anything. Not sure wading would be such good therapy for an arthrtic knee. Course if you limit your distance when in the water it may not be so bad. Never caught a flathead myself. Caught everything else out of the Fox! Id love to tangle with a beast like that. I fish both north and south but mostly north. Easy access. I think I know the area your referring to where the dam got blown out. Its still like that too. I believe its behind that "kiddie place". That whole stretch is good from the dam just north of the wilson to the archery range. If you decide to give it a try and your down this way shoot me a PM.
