I took my boys (ages 2 and 5) to Maple this morning for an hour. Small bluegills were eager to bite garden worms on small hooks and small bobbers. I worked up a sweat taking fish off and rebaiting hooks. Nothing of any size, but the kids sure had fun. We fished right off the rocks by the roadside parking off of 95th street. If you live close and have kids, It's a quick trip.

I have fond memories catching those gills when I was a little esox. Was a good quick fix.

I did get a couple quick pictures of the first one my little guy caught. They did get into a few bigger ones, but I was too busy baiting, casting, taking fish off and making sure no one was gonna get wet to take any more :P
