This high water should really get em goin.. Hope it comes down some before next weekend. Conney said that the Miss is getting full from all the rain in wisc and Minn. There is a lot of water upstream and nowhere to put it. We better hope we dont get anymore for a while.

It will be close to get it under flood stage before sunday. I have plans to go out on next sunday out of Ottawa. If the rain stops might be doable but it might mean a trip to the Miss.

It aint looking good. Iowa/Minn/Wisc along the Miss are getting almost 2" of rain today. All the pools in Il are in flood stage and rising. My rain guage at home shows over and inch of rain in the last 24 hours, ground saturated, creeks bloated. There just isnt anywhere for the water to go.
Everytime I look at the river gages site, water keeps getting higher,, Im guessing 24 feet at least in Lasalle if we are lucky by Monday,, Tuesday maybe? River will be a mess till the following Tues or Wednesday... IWT will be questionable,, MWC practice should be a head scratcher at best.. gotta love that river.. We all know the fish are there from the last couple of weeks,,, arggggghhhh

I see the river has crested a little lower and a little earlier than forecast. No real rain looks to be forecasted til Sunday. Maybe this weekend will be a go?

Waiting to see what Bob says.

Bob H. talked to Bob Kidd today, he says he plans on fishing them this weekend!!

Was at the K3 dam in Wilmington this afternoon, saw 2 inches of clarity along the shore. Better than I had expected!!

Hey guys glad im able to get some info on the Illinois, Thanks. Sauger Hauger are you fishing in the carpenters tourny? If so give me a shout at the dinnner.
I usually fish the Illinois twice a year. The walleye have eluded me all but one year, and then we only caught two.

Hey Fishingene, yes we are fishing the carpenters. We will be practicing all day on Friday.

I have a feeling the fish will be elusive this year as well :( . Bring all your cold weather gear. I saw this am 41*, rain, snow and wind!!

See you at the meeting.

Mike

Headed to test the river today. Launched at starved rock clarity is about 6 inches not bad for it to be still in flood stage. Only few small guys though river is still moving fast. Should be good for Sat and sunday.
