Got out today from 10am-4pm.Got a little wet but had to get out after hearing good reports from yesterday.Caught more walleye and saugeye today than sauger(thats a first).
Started kind of slow with most small fish.We managed 4 keepers on the day.All of our keepers caught pulling minnows.

Did get one nice one

Thanks for the info Jim. A little early for me to pull the boat out of storage yet.
(at least the batteries, rods and reels are ready to go)
It's getting close! Take care

Glad to hear stories about more legals showing up. Boat repairs are done , head down tommorrow to pick her up.
Then start putting things back together. Hopefully back down by the end of the week. Have you tried pulling that rig that you and Scott were using last fall down by Sawmill? Might prove to be interesting as the water will probably be getting murkier. Nice and slow up and down slopes. Still want to give that other spot I was talking about a shot.

Thanks for the report Jim. I'm chomping at the bit to get the boat out! I heard the launch at SR is a mess right now with debris. Good idea launching in SV.

We been catching more walleye and saugeye the last couple years.I dont see how the asian carp have slowed the sauger fishing like everyone is saying it did.I have caught more big fish this year than I have in a long time.If anything the river is coming on strong and the sauger are getting bigger and more abundant. There are some great year class saugers now.The walleyes are also coming on strong.Better than I have ever seen.

Hey Jim, nice fish. I'll be on furlough from 18mar to 1apr, maybe we should hook up for a day or two. I'll be down there for the two weeks and I can't wait.
