Ron Tiewes, co-captain of the Yellow Fin, passed today at approximately 6 PM.

Our prayers go out to Ron, his family and the crew of the Yellow Fin.

Ron will be waked on Saturday, August 29, from 2 to 7 PM at Hultgren Funeral Home located at 304 N Main Street in Wheaton. The Funeral Service will be held 2pm Sunday at the College Church, located at 332 E Seminary in Wheaton.

Please check out www.hultgrenfh.com for additional information.

It almost seems fitting that Ron will be waked on the same day as Salmon Unlimited's final tournament for 2009. Ron, you will be missed.

Don

"God grant that I may live to fish
Until my dying day
And when it comes to my last cast
I then most humbly pray
When in the Lord's safe landing net
I'm peacefully asleep
That in his mercy I be judged
big enough enough to keep."

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with Ron's family and friends during this time.

Beautiful poem Harley!

Ron will be missed by all who frequent "I Dock". :(

His all to common smile coming down the dock ready to talk fishing was all too easy to look forward to. :D

Ron is in good hands in a good place. Rest in peace and God Bless.

Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I enjoyed our 10 years or so of working together at the Hatchery and
helping each other improve our fishing techniques
during the season. He was always fun to be around.
I'll miss you Ron. RIP
