Took a trip up to Wisconsin to help a friend open his cabin for the year. Included in this deal was fishing for bass in the mornings. I threw the same soft plastics the entire time I was there, although I went through all 4 bags that I brought with me, it was a great time. Everyday I got big fish. The best Largemouth of the week was 20" with quite a few 18"+. Smallies were just as good with the biggest being 18 1/2" they looked like footballs with fins and fought great. Total for the trip was 31 Smallmouth, 34 Largemouth, 3 Notherns and 2 Musky. The toothy critters were also caught while bass fishing. The 2 Musky were 13" and 24". We did target Musky 1 day, but all I got was a 18 1/2" bucket mouth lol.

I was up in Mercer over the Memorial day weekend. The bass were starting to bed up and they were real shallow. Water temps were in the low 60s. I will be heading back up for week in July.

Water temp up there was 59 when we got there and 60 when we left. Had a front come through while I was there. Woke up on Wed a.m. and air temp was 38 deg with a light rain, after the sun came up it "warmed" up to about 50 for the day.

WSJ, work did get done believe it or not, we fished from 7 a.m. till about noon everyday, then work kicked in. The phrase "I'd rather be fishing" was on my brain all day.

Good job up there. I'm headed up to boulder junction on friday, glad to see the smallies and bass are shallow. Did you hook into any walleye? Hope we can get some ski's to hit as well.

Sawyer County, Lake of the Pines, Grassy Lake and another I can't think of.
