Not sure what board to put this on so I'll put it on my home board. This was sent to me by e-mail. I have no way of knowing if it is real. Below is the message that was sent with the e-mail. Can any of you skilled bloggers search this one out to see if it is real. If it is, this is an amazinmg fish...

This is the new state record in Canada. He caught it on Rainy Lake. Check this thing out.. The last picture is unbelievable! This guy (in the photos below), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike -as he was reeling it in, a 56" Pike tried to eat it!!!!! He brought them both in on the same net. Awesome catch on a river in Canada- 55lbs- 56 ½inches.

My uncle regularly fishes with the guide that was with this guy when he caught it. As far as I know it's as real as it gets.
Actually, from what I've been told, it's not the state record in Canada, but it would have been in Minnesota if they where fishing on that side of the lake the day.

Nice try boys! That picture has been around a long time. It's a European catch. If memory serves me correctly it was caught in the Netherlands. Here's a link to the story of the catch, with pictures:

I'll still be heading to Rainy Lake this summer as I have for the last five or six years. The pike we catch are really nice but not quite that big!!!

ya, three photos have been floating around for awhile now and if i'm not mistaken the bottom fish has no relation to the top two.

That wouldn't be the record cause isn't that considered to be foul hooked.
