Since I lost a few, guess I'll get some new setups. I need a good medium/medium light range combo. Any suggestions?

Borrow an underwater camera first ....I bet there is a good chance you can retrieve the one you lost !

If not, I'm a Pflueger / St Croix guy......the 4520 is a really good choice for the ice and open water ultra lite fishing
for around 30$

reno, It sounds the rod went through the hole ? If you want to leave a rod as a dead stick or a tip up, check out the Okuma 20b bait feeder reel with a tip up flag from firstrike.com It allows the fish to run with the bail closed, and you time to get to the rod. One crank and your on the fighting drag. I have been using it like a tip up for the last two weeks and I love it.
Wait a couple days and go to the show. They will be there.

I will try that thanks. Wasn't using it as a deadstick. Had the tip up go off a few feet away and I put it down for a second and gone

Bummer, The reel i'm talking about ,you wouldn't want to be jigging for bluegill. It's pretty heavy.

stinks just lost my first ice combo this year fishing with a cta member, but for a real nice ml rod if you want to invest the time there is a guy on ebay that sells ready to build ice rods. I bought 1 comes with tip section of st Croix legend fly rod guides and handle just need wrapping thread and building epoxy, had both already, but it turns out to be a real nice rod you can customize to your specifics. he also builds them for a fee but feels much better done yourself
