While this isn't explicitly tied to the Windows XP end of life support it's pretty close. IF you still use XP and Windows Internet Explorer (IE) then this is extremely important to read. There has been an exploit to versions of IE.

Anyone else using IE should read this for educational purposes. And if you're concerned about computer security this should scare you. It shows that over 20% of computers running XP are still favored/used in the world. I was at a brand spanking new bodunk(small) city courthouse the other day and they had at least one computer looking up records, and probably many more computers in the place running XP. Couldn't be more than a six month old building and running 10+ year old software. I'm confident that my information/data is safe. :noway

Alright I figured that would happen pretty fast. Microsoft will be releasing a patch for the zero day (out of band) exploit for IE. INCLUDING XP!!!
If you have automatic updates enabled it will install automatically. If not then be sure to run windows update today. This is for ALL windows pc versions.
If I were an XP user I'd thank Microsoft for patching an out of date product. I would also not use ANY IE browser in XP. I'd switch to something like chrome. It seems to run better on the older machines.

Here's Microsoft's new release.
