Marc, I haven't had any probs since all the new upgrades were installed [except once], but just now I had to log in with my password. No big deal, at least for now.

I never log off but sometimes even when I click the link in the email notification It makes me login again. Last night it seemed like I was in a loop. I would click the link, enter my login info, get a screen shwong I was logging in and then the login screen would apear again. Never could get logged in from that thread. What thread you ask? I don't remember, sorry. I just went to Chitown directly and read the latest posts.

Oh Frank you are way to much fun brother.

That was me adjusting the site cookies last night so the remember me function would be more consistent. You, T-bo and a couple of the other guys that always hit the site were having problems so I thought I better get it fixed for our old timers (not you T-bo, you look pretty young).

If you use the remember me know and just close the site without logging out you should be in good shape.

And sorry about the endless loop last night. Chris thought he was banned but he's way to nice of a guy for that to happen.

I think I have everything done but the spell check (which I'm not sure about) but you guys let me know if this tweak didn't work for you.

Mark was the Feeds setup yesterday and I just missed it or did you just set it up??

Either way it works great so far. It is much easier to check the feed for updates then checking the site. Im using IE8

Thanks

I have to log in every time. Remember Me just doesn't work. Been that way since you updated.

Cleared the cache, tossed my cookies. Still nothing.

I know I've run into this before on php forums, just can't remember the steps and couldn't find anything when I searched here that would help.

This time when this gets fixed, I'm going to write it down and put it in a spot I'll completely forget about forever.

Help me.

My experience echos this almost exactly.

(Except I've never been able to fix this.)

Guys, is your browser set to "delete browsing history on exit"?

If that were the case (for me at least) it would happen every time. Sometimes I can get right in and some times I have to log in again. For instance, http://www.chitown-angler.com/1fish/vie ... 08#p308808 and this thread make me log in, the one about the cell phone warning does not. At home I'm using Firefox set to remember me so it's only a matter of clicking the remember me box and hitting submit, but at werk, I have to reenter my information completely for those threads that make me log in

Weird! So if I hear you right. It doesn't make you login at home but when you login at work it does? So that's two different systems?
If you click a link at home it sometimes has you login and sometimes doesn't? Even if you aren't tossing your cookies.

If I'm confusing the situation let me know and I'll just drop out. :respect

NO, sometimes, I have to log in and sometimes I don't and where I am doesn't matter and earlier this morning I had to log in to see this thread and this time it let me in directly from the email notification. The only difference about home is, I run Firefox which remembers my log in information saving from having to type my screen name and password. I am way more confused about it than anyone else, so I just live with it.

Same thing here, at home I am logged in automatically, but from work I have to re-log in almost everytime I leave and re-enter the site.

I am using new version of Firefox on Vista at work, and new version of Firefox on Win 7 at home.

I don't see the setting in Firefox to delete browsing history on exit, and I don't think that's it because all the other sites I go to remember me, and have me logged in automatically.

I tried clearing cookies and cache, but have not tried another browser.

OK, I just logged on again and I'm at home and it made me login. Same thread that 10 minutes ago I didn't need to log in. I don't delete any browsing history either. I just accept the situation as it is.
