I'm taking a trip this evening Wed. 8/18 on the Manipulator leaving the Waukegan Yacht Club at 4:00. We have an open seat or two and if anyone would like to come as my guest send me a personal message. I'm from downstate near Springfield and I'll be leaving around 10:00 AM to drive to Chicago so if you want a ride and it's after 10:00 call me on my cell 208-569-8560. I'd love to take some shorefishermen who could let me tag along with them sometime, or if any of you boat fishermen would like a ride that's fine too.

They were a great group. They went with 4 on board. Ended up 18 for about 22. Started out deep (110 - 140) initially and got nice steelies and lakers and smaller salmon. wanted a shot a bigger fish rather than limiting out so we moved in at sunset and got four 4 year olds, biggest was 17#. Also had a coho nearly 10# in shallow, 3 steelies and 2 lakers in the 7-9 # in the deeper water. Weather was perfect and only one fly and that only bothered me (good taste a guess). They sure know when you grab the net.

70 - 75. Those staging Kings won't move much for the rest of their lives. A few days of east will push them out to 90's. A few days of West will pull them in to 50's. But they are there until October. 90% of the fish on short leads and short coppers both shallow and deep. All spoons on a fast (steelie-ish) troll.
