Im trapping coons for the first time this season and want to freeze the whole coons as I get them. What can I do when freezing them to keep the fir from freezing to the freezer or the other coons?? Should I put them each in a bag ? Want make sure I don't mess up the fir.. Thanks !!

I assume you have your license. If so, call the kishwaukee fur barn. We bring yotes, coons, beavers, etc. there. I'm pretty sure he freezes game until he gets to skin them. Not positive. He will know your answer.he will buy them from you also. He inspects them pretty good, so i'm not sure if he takes them frozen.

My brother recommends not bagging in plastic unless you allowed them to get totally cooled down first. He hangs them in the shed for a while. he is only a few miles from the fur barn so we are able to bring them in every other day.
