A few weeks ago I managed a 19-20 inch fat smallie on a storm thunder stick jr. as i slow twitched it through a deep hole.
Also got a 32-34 inch northern from the same spot on a large doctor spoon a few days before the smallie.

the pics aren't good. they are from my cell phone and best i could get.

Very nice river fish. Have you been chasing muskies at all?

Yes, I was targeting muskie when I caught the pike, but I'll happily take a pike any day, put up a pretty nice fight.

The thunder sticks are a great twitch bait all year long, especially when you can pick them up for $1.50 at gander 8)~
