As luck would have it my partner went fishing by himself (without me) today and landed one of the largest smallies I've ever witnessed to come out of the fox. A true trophie. Because of some minor technical diffulties he ask me to post the pics for him. A bitter sweet task indeed!

All I can say is congradulations Pauleye! :allah

I will let Pauleye himself fill you all in on the details. Wow dude! Every bit of 4 lbs. maybe even 5. Wow!

That just had to be one heck of a fight, did you use your pike/musky gear?

Nice fish there Pauleye. Very solid smallie. Congrats man! Keep pluggin away. There's definitely some 5+ pounders in the Fox! I know how you feel, though. I got my personal best smallie last year, a 5+ fish, though not out of the Fox. It's an amazing feeling.

Great fish dude!!! :allah

But I have been thinking, if you are going to catch fish like that I am going to have to reconsider taking you guys out in the boat, I hear it is against the LAW to out fish the captain of the boat....

Pauleye ,
I went out Sunday afternoon for a couple hours. I was runnin an gunnin in the three areas we spoke about! Just using a jig and twister tail. Had several hits right off the bat and two short hookups what felt like very heavy fish but unfortunatly nothing brought to the net. The area has some serious potential! Can't waite for the river to come down and things should be really hot there.

Chris,
The number rule is never outfish the captain. Its a long swim home! Altough ive read your reports and I don't think that would be possible. Your a master in your own element!
