I have been hitting numbers(4-6 in one area in hours time) lately but have not found any big ones until last Friday.

I hit up a stretch of the river that had a nice bend in the main river channel w/ fast moving water meeting really slow moving water. Depths were around 1'-5'. Using a 1/16oz-1/8oz jig tipped w/ a large fathead.

I was just letting the jig n minnow drift w/ the current right on the seam. I landed a handful of eyes but this one was the big fish of the day.

I did harvest this fish and released the others.

Nice fish Steve! Looks like you got them dialed in, I think with the water coming up the next week should see even more fish moving into those staging areas.

Keep it up, hardwater is right around the corner!

Thanks for the replies guys.

I wish I was that good! I am still learning the basics of walleye fishing and have just had the luck of being in right place, at the right time. :D

Nice. Hitting the Fox on Sunday for the eyes and smallies. Usually do well in the spring where we go, so hopefully a fall return does as well.

We hit the Fox last Sunday. Wasn't the best day we've had, but many Smallies in the size range pictured. Always a good time.[/img]
