Fished with some friends Saturday morning from 8:30 to 11:30 from the power lines to the boyscout launch. First time on this part of the river in a boat. Had one follow up on a black spinner bait, had one lost on a yellow twister tail, some hits on a jig and shiner, nothing on a repala which equated to no smallies caught. Anyone want to fill in the blanks? Too early in the season? Wrong bait? Wrong presentation? Wrong part of the river?

Just north of North avenue on Rt. 31. There is a free public launch. It's a small sign that says "Boy Scout Launch". My friend has a 19' Crestliner. Most of the area we fished was between 2' and 6' feet of water.

it's not free but if u get there before the attendent gets there they don't charge ya. I fish that part of the river alot and the only luck i've had was fishing the creek mouths even the bridge's are tough there don't no why. It's a better place to take the kids tubbin and skiing. maybe thats why its tough all the boats runnung in circles in five feet of water give or take

Trouble figuring this out with our system here (for some pics), but we had a decent day last Sunday, south of SC near Batavia. Loads of smallies in the 12" - 14" range and a bonus 22" walleye.
