We hit the Fox river for a couple of hours today. It was cold and very windy. Almost blown over a couple of times, yet we were in the fish. Fishing lindy rigs with roaches 8 to 10 inchs from the weight. I am sure we missed many as it was hard to see and sometimes feel the bite due to the wind. We did manage to catch some really nice 17"ers.

One crazy note: One of the fish had close to a dozen minnows in its stomach, along with 4 hooks with leaders in it's belly, and one hook still lodged in it's throat. With 5 hooks in it and a dozen minnows in it and it still was taking bait. Now that is one hungry fish.

P.S. the fish were absolutly delicious!

Nice color to those eyes.

There's an area south of Oswego that wsj would not eat fish from, but the farther north.........yep.

Nice fish, fishrman. Keep em' coming. U know how to get em'! :D

I've never fished the Fox, so I don't know about eating them. Love walleye though. Could it be that there's too many people who would vote no to eating them out of there are either dead or too sick to vote?? Just kidding! Enjoy those fillets!!

HAPPY EASTER

Thanks Guys, We have been catching all from shore. Targeting any slack water and big eddys below dams or white water. Golden roaches and large fatheads just off the bottom on Lindy rigs or drop shot rigs. We met a guy the other day who was fishing for musky. He sent us a picture of this beautiful 48" caught from shore. Keeps me interested!

You bet! The Fox River has been turning into quite the fish making machine. Smallmouth bass fishing this year is going to be great. The thing about the Fox is that I never really catch anything small. If you catch a fish it is going to be a decent fish with a lot of fight.
