fished the river today for a few hours around bridgeport bar over the old bridge and picked up a small eye around 13 inches and lost 2 nice ones at the boat around 20 inches and 3 smallies around 10 inches all on chartreuse bombers also tried the 15ft hole a little south and didn't pick up anything saw a few white bass caught but nothing special

Speaking about bombers, have you tried bandits?

Walmart has a close out on em ($3). they are gettign rid of their entire fishing section.

Sunday my wife and I did the Mid-America Canoe Race. There was a lot of people wading, fly fishing and shore fishing along that run.

It is high for this time of the year but by all means fishable.

I was out on Saturday South Batavia area below the dam. At 1500 CFS the river was barely wadable. I personally like it below 1100 to feel safe. With todays rain, it prolly going back up.

Oh yeah, Picked up half dozen smallies bouncing jig an minnow off the bottom, nothing of any real size. THe weather ws beautiful though. Good to get out. Great job Mike!
