Was there Sunday sunrise parked at Orchard Road. Hit the upstream side of the bridge, haven't done that in a couple of years. Was more of a scouting thing looking for geese. Was wondering if you want to go nail a few in this area in a couple of weeks.

Didn't see a single goose.

Did catch 18 smallies.

Saw about a half dozen guys working the downstream side of Orchard on Saturday. Heading toward Saw wee kee. Maybe that's why you didn't do well, this time of year that stretch produces 20 or more with hardly any effort.

Will be checking this stretch again next week for geese. That will decide if I go kill a few the week after that. They're usually all over that area. But then, it's been an odd year.

I myself threw some lures in Pickeral Point on Sunday. No braggers but did manage a few SMB. All fish came on jointed Raps. I was suprised how few people were fishing there. S. Elgin dam was pretty crowded.

Jackpine- you can only catch pickerel at Pickerel point- that's why it's named that.
