Anyone ever wade the area below Dayton dam?

I know a couple years ago when it was pretty low and you could see a lot of the gravel bars, rocks, etc. even far south from the I-80 bridge.

I've been hitting that area the last couple of weeks. I haven't waded it but I was out on a wingdam on Wed. evening and it looks fairly shallow along the shoreline areas. Was gonna wade a bit but I went to the Ill. in Marseilles instead. I've seen people wading all the way up by the dam on the east side of the river within the past week though. Personally I don't know if I'de wade that close to such a large dam.
