The water temperature was still a chilly 35º this morning. The river is still moving at 3,980 cubic feet per second down in Montgomery. ( http://waterdata.usgs.gov/il/nwis/uv?05551540 )

We are continuing to receive reports of walleyes being caught near the dams. Live bait is still going to be preferred choice for increasing your hit counts.

Just a couple of reminders!

Tell me exactly where this baitshop is located.
Actually, great appreciation to someone that can tell me which shoreline (east/west) to fish near the dam.

With that in mind, please provide info for the following question:

1. How do you get to the Batavia Dam and/or Baitshop from Roosevelt Rd(rt. 38) & rt59?

2. Which side of the river is more productive? East or West?

3. Is it Wade-able?

4. Anyone planning to fish this area anytme soon?

kind regards,
good fishng

1. How do you get to the Batavia Dam and/or Baitshop from Roosevelt Rd(rt. 3 & rt59?
Take Rt 38 to Rt. 25 turn left go south. When you come into Batavia, Rt. 25 makes a jog through town. After you make the jog you will see a Bank turn right into the parking lot directly behind the bank and you will see the shop.

2. Which side of the river is more productive? East or West?
Both sides are usually very productive but I prefer the East side.

3. Is it Wade-able?
Not directly below the dam but a little farther down the river is perfect for wading

4. Anyone planning to fish this area anytme soon?
