Hey guys/gals. I live in McHenry and have my boat on the river there. I typically run up to Pistakee, but would really like to learn to fish the river a little better. Anybody have any info or sites that could give me a little more insite on fishing rivers for bass?

Yes, pick up Dan Gapen's Book River Smallmouth Bass "how to fish" this will give you a good start on learning to fish rivers for Smallmouths. Another good place is the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance.

Thanks Gary, problem is this far north there really aren't any smallies. It is mostly Largemouth. I will look for the book though, cause it may offer knowledge I can apply.
Thanks again.
