Got out for a half day last week and bass were hitting cranks. Brought a dozen to hand with half being 14"-16". Started out with a Rapala Shad Rap in chartreuse until the rocks chewed it up, then switched to a rattling KVD 1.0 in chartreuse/black; both are pictured below.

This weekend found channel cats setting up on seams and below riffles. Drifting a Gulp under a float got a half dozen and some bonus crappies wanted in on the action. There was a wolf pack set up in a slack pool next to the main current. They gave their position away by the scattering minnows. And the smallmouth will also hit the Gulp.

Flows are starting to get more wadeable. I was tempted to cross to the other side to a long rocky stretch I know of with some depth. Should be accessible in the next few days assuming no substantial rains.

I got 4 crappies mixed in with the cats. I use both the 2.5" and 3" Gulp minnows and it doesn't seem to matter much to the fish.

Thanks for the report - I was wondering how the water levels were doing.

I'm gonna try and get out one evening this week

Good choice. I like the gulp a lot for most panfish outings.
