well back at the river for walleyes,we only caught sm. bass and 1 carp,jig-minnows and lures. wehad a total 17 sm. bass all between 6-15 inches. we launch out of shamrock pk..the water temp. is 68 and the river is very ,very low,we could not get up to the dam that how low it was for me. till next time good luck and good fishing bigfishross 9-14-10

Hey Ross,

Just curious, what time of day are you fishing for walleyes?

I do not have much experience with walleyes in the Joe watershed (did catch a couple in a creek drifting spawn for steelhead). The reason I ask, is that, I did well for walleyes in the Fox River many years ago. I would wade for them in Fall/Winter and they seemed to stackup in the deeper holes within a mile of a dam. We would start one hour before sunset and fish a couple hours after sunset. The sunset/night bite seemed to be the best (by far).

Caught a lot of dink walleyes with an occassional nice one.
