Hey Everyone, made a solo trip on Sunday morn to a local stream, & jumped in around 6:30 am. Now, this is the 3rd season I've fished this spot, & can honestly say that I pretty much always do pretty good. Ive used a variety of baits & catch fish on all that has been tried. Most of the time, Rock Bass are the main feature with Smallies, LMbass & a couple Gills thrown into the mix. Now, usually, most fish run a little on the small side, but an occasional 13 or 14 inch Smallie or a 10 inch Rockie will wake you up. Most of the time, I hit the creek with an ultra-lite, with 4# test. Soo,,on Sunday, it was a slow start, & about 40 mins later I hook & land a 15" Smallie. took awhile to get in, but made it. Shortly after that, a 14"er. Things died out, so I moved further upstream, nabbed a 12 & then a few smaller ones. Never caught so many Smalies, with "big" ones thrown in during one outing in this stream before--LOTSAFUN !! Sorry for the long post--I just wanted to brag a little bit. :rotflmao See Ya !

Thanks for sharing Dave. Looks like you were in the zone. We need to hook up. Big T was there this morning and did well.

Good report. I remember fishing the smaller rivers and size wasn't as important. Just the plain thrill of the hunt.

Good job and thanks for sharing.
