No ice with very little, if any snow on the banks as of Sunday. Water is slightly high and murky, but very fishable.

Hi Tom

Are you using live bait in creeks? I have a hard time fishing a creek near me with a pretty good current. Toss out the bobber and wax worm and a way it goes until it drifts down and over to shore and then snag city!

Thanks, Mike

Went to Trail on sunday and it was cold real early (24*) but turned into a beautiful day. There was a few people that came to the creek to get their lines wet but it wasnt a day for catchin, at all. I didn't even so much as see a fish let alone anyone catch one. Anyway it ended up being a nice day at the creek I can't wait till the water clears up a hair and the creek settles. Too bad were going to get some rain this week I'm thinking about tryin get back out there next sunday.

Any idea on how long (without rain) it take for the creek to settle and clear up a bit?

Thanks for the link SS - USGS is a great tool. I used to use it a lot for the Vermilion River & K3. When you have a working history (USGS wise) on a particular watershed those numbers can tell you a lot. Worth their weight in gold.
