Took the dog to Naperville's riverwalk, yesterday. The river overflowed its banks and was above the river walkway and really rolling. That ended any thoughts of wetting a line for the next days. And the cottonwoods are seeding so I bet the carp are loading up on the stuff. Any white fly, I think, would trigger a bite (or is it a swallow or a suck?).

Yeah, I've more or less given up on river fishing for the foreseeable future. As soon as the flows are almost fishable, another wave of storms rolls through and floods ensue.
