I just discovered this Nova documentary on Ernest Shackleton a couple weeks ago, and I’ve already watched it 4 times, totaling 8 hours of pure awe inspiring entertainment. What an absolutely incredible story!! If you can find the time, CHECK IT OUT!!!

He reminds me of the "most interesting man alive" guy from the Dos Equis commercials. I'll definitely add it to my list.

I finally got around to watching The National Parks documentary, that was really good too. I was really impressed with Jon Muir.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll return the favor with this....

A lot of CTAs may already know about this, but I didn't until a few weeks ago. If you don't mind a fair amount of politics, these downloadable mp3s have a lot of good fishing information from local guides, especially fox chain and lake Geneva.

YES! Incredible story! Haven't seen the documentary but I read the book "Endurance" which details his crazy journey. Easily my favorite adventure novel.

Good book. I lent it out years ago, and never got it back. and I forgot who borrowed it.
