Contact Johnny Finn. He builds some fine fishing rods.

Thanks for the complement Tyee
There are a few rod builders on this site, Coach, if you have questions ask

For videos I suggest you-tube or component retailers like Mudhole and Get Bit Outdoors
They have excellent tutorials which will take you step by step through your build

Fun hobby I dabble a bit. For a easy first build some guy on eBay sells an ice rod build kit comes with blank I got top section of legend elite fly rod, guides and handle materials you still need wrapping thread and the flex cure epoxy to seal. Rod turned out great one of my favorite

Definitely a fun hobby especially through the winter. I would start with medium or medium light as your first build. Little easier to get the hang of wrapping on the stiffer blank compared to a UL. Take your time, be prepared to redo a couple of your first wraps and you'll be on your way to a quality rod and can't beat the feeling when you catch your first fish on it.

Johnny Finn is the man to ask questions. Lots of good advice and builds excellent rods.
