I need some help. I have two rods that the rod tip needs repair. I bought a small kid of rod tip eyelets and the hot glue. I have done the repair to the rods but the eyelet keeps coming off. I suspect the hot glue since this happens when it is warm out. Is there another glue to use? I thought maybe superglue? Or am I doing something wrong? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance

I used gorilla glue on my spinning rod. no loss of sensitivity as far as I could tell. very little goes a long way! it expands as it cures. Once cured, you will not have any problems going forward.

Yes, there is a very specific glue, similar to glue gun hot glue, but not the same,
Coren's has it and BP or Cabela's should .Maybe Dicks, but I doubt it.
It lets you heat it to remove and or make sure it is in line with the other guides as opposed to stuff like super glue or 5200.

you can wrap the tip a quarter inch or so then varnish or epoxy after glueing

I think Fuji makes a rod tip glue come in a red tube like chap stick.
Works great.
