Does anyone know if Navy Pier will have soft water for perch tomorrow or is it already frozen?

Facebook report from this morning reads" floating slush so even though your lure or sinker went right through, the ice surrounded your line and wind blew it sideways. Made it impossible to fish. We need either open water or ice that isn't moving." With today's low temperature, I don't think you'll find open water tomorrow.

I'd say give it a try, if you need to break thru 1-2" of ice, take something heavy with you (like a dumbbell and a rope).

That was my post. Hopefully it’ll be locked up by now so the surface slurry isn’t blowing around.

Thank you for your replies. Since I live pretty far from it, I decided not to take this risk.

BTW, is that Facebook page open to anyone? If so, how do I ask?

Will most likely be there tomorrow as well. Pictures from today show it's iced up, and facebook reports claim ice is pretty thin. Bring a 10 lbs dumbbell tied to a rope and you should be able to break thru.
