I have some thoughts of maybe going tomorrow. I went out to take out the trash and the wind is brutal right now.

I'm part of a couple Facebook groups dedicated to chitown fishing and today's reports are pretty good, lots of sorting, no big jumbos but enough keepers over 9". Planning to try navy pier again tomorrow, but from late morning after the crowd leaves.

Finally got out today, thank you to the 2 guys from Indiana who helped me launch at calpark. The ramp and the docks were iced up and we had enough salt between us to get it done. All my usual spots in the river only produced dinks so to get out of the cold wind I hugged that long seawall across the river from Crowleys on the north side and thats where I found the keepers.I ended up with mostly 10s a few 12s and a couple 9s that were gut-hooked.The best method today was letting the whole rig lay on the bottom and slowly lift it up.I talked to a guy fishing from shore in the river and he said he struck out at navy pier this morning but maybe he should have waited it out. When I got back to the ramp the sun had cleared 90% of it.
