Fished the slip this morning. They were again biting on anything. Minnows, nightcrawler pieces, zip lures, kastmasters, jigging raps, shiver minnows. Only problem was dealing with tons of dinks. Thought the DNR said there was no recruitment of perch! DUH. Left with a limit. Disappointed to see the fisherman haven't learned anything about denial of access. Still leaving their garbage everywhere (coffee cups, beer bottles, etc.) If you can carry it in you can carry it out!

Yes there are a few being caught. Maybe 12” or 13” I have seen. I had a few over 11” on wed.

Funny thing about the garbage. There is a dumpster on the south side. Some people are just lazy. People who trash are trash themselves I always say.

Ive been fishing the river and have started fishing around 6:15-6:30 on three occasions. On all three trips I didn't have a fish until quarter to 7. Basically first good light before I even started getting hits

Keep in mind the city's ban on snow parking is in effect until 7:00 am, snow or no snow. Park earlier than 7:00 am at your own risk. You can be towed, ticketed or both. $500-600 fines make those perch filets mighty expensive.
