If you had to go out with only 3 flies to target pike, what would they be? Colors/water type(river, lake, etc..)

I was amazed that the folks around Denver, Colorado only use yellow or black bunny leeches. You would have thought these guys would have more imagination... For the pike in Lake "Sludgewick," Deep Quarry, the DP, and pool 13 of the Miss I like these:

Number three- a Clouser tied to resemble a small bass/perch/chub. It is a very easy tie and I keep it sparse and long.

Number two- a big Dahlburg mega diver; a couple in black and a couple in white for contrasting water conditions. Use a tail of mixed EP fibers, Wing N' Flash, and Flashabou.

Number one- Murdich minnow. This guy is just flippin' brutal on bass and pike. I tie mostly shad colored or chub colored versions to match the predominate bait.
