I am looking into purchasing a crossbow for deer hunting this fall. I have hunted deer with a shotgun for many years, but would like to get a little more time in the field for them. I am looking for any advice that maybe out there on crossbows. Thanks, Charlie

Marc initially had a parker but a limb blew only after a year. Cabelas replaced it with a ten point crossbow and he loves it, they are the only co that only makes cross bows and all the other co's are having probs with their limbs

Thanks, Charlie Hey Charlie, It's worth doing a bunch of reading Charlie, here's a link to a real good web site. http://crossbownation.com/community/index.phpI have a TenPoint and now I don't think I would buy anything else. It's the HLX. Once you get done doing a little research you'll see that they make a bow that is quality, they have no limb problems. The only downside is they are a little heavier than the others but site lighter than my browning 12 gauge.

I like the Excalibur crossbows. They only make crossbows too. Check out the limited edition Excalibur Relayer Y25.

I have a Barnett C5 Wildcat with a Red Dot, it's hard hitting, it's deadly accurate, and it's reasonably priced.
They sell them at the Cabala's in Hammond, you can test out bows there and if you buy one they will assemble it, and you can sight it in before you leave.
