I was hunting turkey a few days ago. 4 jakes flew down from some trees and I saw a big Tom still in the tree. The jakes saw my decoy strutted gobbled and finally attacked it- knocked it over and left. This went on for over an hour.During the entire time the big Tom stayed in the tree puffing his chest and fanning from time to time. He finally down around 10 am. Never saw that before!

I did consider that. But he was facing my direction and other birds were gobbling behind me-I decided to wait hoping either him or some other Tom would come on over.I'm still waiting...

Jamie, you did the right thing. Had you pulled the trigger you never would have been able to say "I never saw that before". You were able to watch a part of nature that many do not get to see. Your patience will be rewarded. That tom never knew you were there and still does not. Your a good hunter. I see a nice beard in your future. Good Luck to ya.
