I am planning a road trip out west for the first week of September and am looking to do a little hunting along the way.

The ultimate destination will be Missoula(where I have enough knowledge), but while camping through Wyoming, I would like to get on some grouse and other small game in season. If anyone has any pointers on public areas that hold good numbers near camping, that would be great. Unfortunately, I will be too early for sage grouse(if they open a season), but any upland birds will tickle my fancy! I will have my brittany with me.

Other advice on trout streams in similar areas would be helpful as well.

Thanks!!

While that shows me public areas, I guess I was looking for some more specific areas and habitat to look for.
