It’s been a while since we have been around and I met with Marc this week about getting back to where we were at the beginning with the guys and gals hunting from Chitown Angler.

First I want to tell the membership and all the folks that came to the club I am sorry, I had some challenges and the club and hunts suffered and you just weren’t as happy with the results.

That’s going to change! We are going back to hunting the way you guys remember, walking our fields and knocking down a bunch of birds. We are committed to total customer satisfaction and you having an impressive hunt every time you come down to hunt the club.

We’ve adjusted our Big Blast pricing back to the days of old.

On March 16th we will have a Big Blast and I promise you guys will knock down birds!

Each person will have 12 birds released in their field for $180. We ask that you try and get 4 hunters per field but it is not a requirement. I’ll just remind you that our plots are fairly large and our cover is real nice. Lunch will be provided as well as a banded bird in each field if you want to have a pot for the guy that knocks it down. :skeet

We’ll also breast birds for people that want them cleaned for the old price of $3

We want to have you guys come back to the club and have great hunts. We’ve really have missed our friends from Chitown!

If you are interested post in this thread and Marc will get me the information to get you set up.

Bulldawg, That would be $50 for the group and if the guide does a good job you may want to tip.

As I read the above, a 4 person group would have 48 birds released in their field. Is this correct?

3/16 is bad for me but I'd have a group of 3 that would be interested in future dates. Looking forward to more posts!

This one always seems to fall when we celebrate St. Patricks day in Chicago an its an annual event with my friends.

Hopefully they'll be some good pictures posted, love to see some action pictures since it looks like I won't be able to make it out again this year.

Can someone clarify - is it $180 per person or $180 per field? Thanks Marc for confirming it's 12 birds per guy.

Its been awhile since I've hunted there and do not remember how large the fields are.

Next, I am willing to have 2 other hunters with me, with or without a dog. I have a 2.5 year old Lab, and there is concern with either too many birds or hunters per field. 3 hunters max is ideal, as she will hunt for each within a pattern.

Let me know your thoughts.

Rooster Heaven has a variety of field sizes, bigger and smaller to fit what you're looking for. Some are lines with ditches with and without water, or lined by the Vermilion River. I would suggest talking to Marc or Rooster Heaven prior to your hunt and discuss field options. That way you can have a smaller field with your birds put out tight, or a larger field and your birds planted in a larger area. You want all flat land, or would you like hills and timber to walk? Plenty of options to cater your hunt to your liking.
