Hunted lake Michigan Thursday Morning, awesome hunt, birds everwhere, me and 2 other Navy guys new to the area, Drake mallrad DOUBLE banded, one was regular Write Bird Band, other leg had "REWARD $50" on it. Always heard about this, never seen it though, pretty cool. Big Lake is definately holding the Ducks, not many geese though, shot an Old Squaw too (rare for these parts)., blue bills heavy as are Redheads. Also drake mallard with 4 tail curls (Mounter). 3 Guys 9 mallards,1 old Squaw,2 Bluebills. Hunted 2.5 hrs. Waves picked up with North wind, time to go.

5 boats down there hunting yesterday, most did pretty good. Headed back tomorrow with the sons.

hey denny i used to hunt the big lake all the time you got to use drop lines and decoys on lines (kinda hard hunting 30 feet of water without it) but buddie had a layout boat we would anchor it 300 yards out with a tender boat on shore, we tore em up!! it was a blast
