Well,
I have visited a lake that from many posts here said it was dead this year!!

I fished there this week and the Gill activity as on! Once located them, I pounded
7-9" ers.

Ok, so why is that so exciting?

After the second visit, I decided to poke my head on top of the hole and " :shock "!

What a site!! Gills all around my jigs and minnow, a cruising "Pike", Crappie all over but
would not bite. A few minutes later a "SUBMARINE", 30" or so, half hour later maybe
close to a 38-40" sub! :shock :shock

Crappie were piling up but no mater what I threw at them, I could not get them to interest
them with nothing.

This lake is so clear you can see claws from Cray fish, sand holes and even little minnows.

What did I not try to get to these Crappies, other than come back in the afternoon.
:cuss :cuss :cuss

That would drive me crazy. What I would do is down grade to 1# or even a half # test. Water that clear i bet those crappies can see 2# test. Trust me it will make a difference. I am talking from experience.

Legend,
Suggestion well received, will give it a try! Where do you find 1/2" test lb line?

Them Crappie being an arms (almost) length away and being able to get them
gives me an even bigger itch to get back out there!
