Chris, Now if you can get them to stand still, you will have a nice fish fry!
I had the same luck today at Bangs Lake!

1st 2 were on chartruese and orange diamond jig tipped with a waxie and the last the bigger one was also tipped with a purple plastic the guys next to me were tearing them up on plastics so i switched to just a plastic but could not convert my bites so i threw a waxie on there. Is there something i dont know about these plastics? ive seen them work well just not for me. And legend i remember a post of yours saying minnows and plastics for the crops......? how is that rigged ? minnow 1st with a plastic behind it?

I'm sorry Chris I should be more clearer on my report that they were not combined. I'll have a minnow in 1 hole on a float dangling at 10-12 fow and on the other hole I will be jigging with plastics. Plastics work wonders on Pistakee. Thats what I pretty much fish on Pistakee unless i'm chasing whites which I have to load up on spikes. Waxies and spikes will catch you some fish but if you want to get in the double digit harvest on panfish start fishing plastics. You'll figure them out it just takes time to figure out the color and jigging motion. I will be on Pistakee on Saturday for a few hours in the AM. I'll be in a blue Fish Clam Pro with Blue / Black Armor bibs and a camo coat or just look for the pile of fish next to the shanty I will be at Bangs tonight as the crappie bite is starting to heat up there.

I think the biggest keys to plastics are making sure they line up straight so your jig doesn't spin, and don't over-work it. Try holding your hand perfectly still and just squeeze your hand so it shakes a little. Less is more with plastics.
Nice crappies, seems to be a good year class of them out there this year.
