Thanks for the tips. Weird thing is, a couple years ago I got some spikes online and they came in doubled up zip lock bags in a brown envelope. I could swear that the bait supplier said to make sure that the air was minimal in the bag and to keep them in it. That purchase of spikes lasted at least 2 months, I was very pleased with how long they lived. I will try your suggestions and see how it works. Thanks!

I imagine they ship them in the double zip lock in case any mature, they do not have flies all over. I would use a butter tub, bait puck or even a paper bag and put them in the COLDEST part of the fridge that does not freeze.
