I've got a few free hours tomorrow afternoon and I'm thinking of trying Bangs. I've never fished it before, but I read a lot of posts about it so I'd like to check it out. I searched the forum to figure parking out and found info, but in a two year old post. Is there still free parking at Dock's? Which direction should I head from there. I'll be out about 11:30-2:30. I know it isn't the best time to fish, but that's when the kids are in school!

yes, Dock's is free parking around the back. as far as where to go, you will see people over towards Lindy's. stop over and ask them. watch out, there was a open water hole straight out from Dock's on sunday. :drink

Pit,

I will be out there early and staying till 12:00 or so. Come by and by then
I can tell you how I am doing, if I found them or not. I will be in my
green tarp (Rectangular).

Last time I was out there, after 11:00 am, I found them straight out from the
docks at 16-18 fow, 6" from the bottom. I layed my rod down to even see the
bite and then lifted fast. Nice 8-9" Gills. I picked up one Gill from each hole, then
came back to the old holes.

Hope to see you out there.

There is also parking at Wauconda Boat, past Main street (light), on your left hand.

Were you out there today dajord? I got there about 11:30 but didn't see your shelter. If so, how did you do? I fished halfway between Dock's and Lindy's, out in about 16 fow. I picked up a couple of small perch quickly, then had to work for the next couple hours to get a few small bluegill. Not a great catch, but it was fun to try new water.

Tomorrow I'm fishing with my wife's dad and uncle and I think they want to fish Nielsen's Channel. I've never been there either, so this is a big week of firsts for me!
