Who's up for a little ice fishing later this week? I'm thinking maybe Friday???? I have a couple of 'secret' spots we could meet at... you can help me fish out all the dinks from the one pond (with the possibility of catching some nice ones) and then we could try the 'better' pond... not as many fish but possibly better size.

C'mon all you Lake county guys... would be great to meet alot of you! The ponds are not too far from Mundelein.

Also would be great if anyone had an underwater camera... Aquaview etc. I am partially responsible for the fish in these ponds so it would be great to see whats down there and how they are health wise.

I'm fairly new to ice fishing and don't have a camera (I do have an auger and some ice rods), but I'd be up for an outing on Friday morning. I also noticed from your posts that you have a kid who likes to fish. I have a fishing obsessed 7 year old. If you want to arrange a "family" outing to the ponds some weekend (unfortunately, this weekend is out) that would be cool too.

I may be up for a trip on friday. i live up in Round Lake so pretty close to you. No underwater camera have everything else though. What we fishing for? Bluegills/crappie/bass/pike?

All of the above!! But mainly bluegills and crappie... throw in a bass or 2 and maybe even a pike.... thats one of the fish Id like to see if they are there with the underwater camera.

I wish I could join you Kenny but weekdays are "weak" for me. Will you be heading out to that "body of water" you told me about? I'm wondering how deep that place is. I know for sure there are some big bass in there. Many panfish of varying sizes though! Good luck out there.
