And what a wonderful way to start.

Image

My second fish of the year. :winker

Image

My friends Ed and Jake was with me. We decided to have a beer while the gills came in on the jigging rod. It was nice way to break up the day.

Image

A few dozen or so gills between us all were taken but we left as it was dink after dink.

We drove 30 minutes south to drill some holes in the dark and fish until we froze.

We froze. Worth it.

This guy was hanging over my iced glove.

Image

Jake pulled in the monster gill of the trip with this guy.

We even had a few blue gills on tip ups... pretty fun way to get them.

Wish this was more informative, I am just beat but had to get this pic ups.

Tight Lines every one.

Great way to start of T and Boyz. Are you sure it wasn't drink after dink?
I'm gonna try out my ribs tomorrow and see if I can pull the sled. Hope I have some pics to post.

Way to go Travis, Kinda looks like your soft water pond as well. I'm thinking it is. You mentioned your friend, Ed, is that Special Ed ? If so, say Hey, we don't hear from him on this site anymore. :drink

Thanks guys.

Both bass came in on a large roach, big ones, lipped tipped on a white Spoon. I had the rod on bucket rod holder, with a clicker. It buzzed liked trolling for Kings.

Getdanet, three guys 6 beers, We milked them over 6 hours of fishing. By no means nothing crazy.

Gills on tip ups came in on tiny small fatheads and waxies. #8 gama octo hook red. It was fun.

The waxes on the tip up was an attempt to get the carp we saw frozen in the ice, many more under it...

We jigged with the basics I used spike. Ed used waxies.

Gill Pills, Swedish pimples etc.. they seemed to hit em all.

Trav, I didn't mean a bottle for a dink, just a drink. I wonder if you would do much better if you brought out some "Bass Ale" :rotflmao
