I picked this up from our youth event organizer, very cool!

Please bring the kids/grandkids. I have a ton of prizes and fishing tackle items that will take about a hour to raffle off. Some of the prizes include a Frank Bottiglieri custom made spinning rod and a 4 hour guided trip for 2010, which Rich Gallagher donated. Plus all the usual fishing items: fishing combos, reels, nets, lure packs, tackle boxes, camping equipment.

Cabales is even having a casting clinic for the younger kids.

I am hoping to take my 3 children. Never been there but hopefully they will have fun. Any suggestions on bait?

I am sorry I did not see this post earlier. Yes, bring some ice jigs and waxies for the panfish Bring some crawlers and some corn. Chum a little but not alot of corn and put some corn on a hook and a crawler and put those on the bottom. There are quite a few age categories and the top three for each category in each age group are awarded. Each fish has it's own category. bluegill, crappie, bass, bullhead, carp and a misc category which even a clam ranked one year. Your kids will have a blast at this event!
