Fished for about 1/2 Hour today (In my new secret spot) and hooked into this pig, shown with a 6" Yum Dinger Hanging from it's Maw.
Just over 20" 4lb-4oz.....Lost another which might have been a Sheepshead.

Awsome! now start hiding your fish or act like you have a snag and your good to go. If you don't mind me asking what type of structure are you fishing your drop shots in? Im going to try some of the harbors up north next weekend.

Nice Fish!!!!!.... I have also been doing some awesome smallie fishing on the big lake. I have got for than a handful over 4lbs in my personal "secret spots" haha. We should put our great minds together and put a hurting on these guys!!!!! No drop shop for me... Cranks!!!! Fast and aggressive retrieve on rock structure seems to be producing.

Steve if you are interested I live up North just blocks from the harbor and would be happy to tag along. Maybe show you a few of my honey holes.

Rocks, 8-12 FOW. The mayor's Lakefront rehabilitation Program (Building a continuous Concrete / Sheet Piling wall where there was Granite Blocks) seems to be concentrating the fish more and more as the wall grows. Basically I look on Google earth for rocky Deposits that I can access and finesse the area until I get something - some areas are more productive than others, and that seems to depend on Solar orientation, current, etc. South=Better. I've found some natural areas that are textbook environments. The new weed growth on the lake is an indication of how healthy the water is becoming. Clean, green, succulent weedforest 8' high - no sludge or scuz......it's a beautiful thing.
